A relay building geared to food-related activities yet to come As the food sector is constantly developing in the Liege area, the Economic Development Agency , SPI+, has decided to set up a brand-new relay building, designed to house companies specialized in this field. Construction is due to start very soon and should be completed within this year. Arrangements have already been made for two workshops and adjacent offices to meet all the companies' needs: specific materials, easy access with loading/unloading docks, warehouse facilities, and so on. New Guggenheim Museum: Liege high-tech is part of the team The Liege-based Bocad Service International company (BSI) is participating in the designing of one of the greatest contemporary buildings: a new version of the Guggenheim Museum. Drawn up by Frank Gehry, America's most famous architect, it is now under construction in Bilbao, Spain. The exuberant and complex metallic structure, made up of lines, angles and curves, has been modelled with the help of BSI ultra-sophisticated 3D software. BSI's main product, Bocad-3D, is a designing program that facilitates the draughtsman's task by automatically and interactively producing the general plan and drawings of a steel structure. Technical advances and an excellent reputation together with high guarantees and qualifications have led this SMB onto a worldwide market. They trade with clients such as Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Bayer AG, Siemens, Glaverbel, and are scoring successes in Europe, Africa, as well as Asia (mainly Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia).
