The Province of Liege twined with the French Region of Les Côtes d’Armor

In September 1999 Paul Bolland, Governor of the Province of Liege, was welcomed at the Expo Fair in the beautiful city of Saint-Brieuc, capital of the French Region of Les Cotes d’Armor. For two years now, the Province of Liege and Les Cotes d'Armor have been launching joint initiatives, mainly in the field of tourism, but also in economic, cultural and sporting areas. The basis for this twinning is an Agreement for Economic, Tourist and Cultural Co-operation, signed by the two regions in 1996. The aim of the Agreement is to seek opportunities for co-operation.

As far as economic co-operation is concerned, both the Governor of the Province of Liege and the President of the General Council of Les Cotes d'Armor are working on a programme to promote partnerships between companies in both regions. They will also develop a programme for an exchange of internships and training in particular in the field of telecommunications and research into agro-food.
