100-Year old vehicle rally at the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit

On 8 August 1999, a rally will take place in the Province of Liege with vehicles dating from around 1900. The rally will go from the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit, which hosts the Belgian Formula 1 Grand Prix and other races all year round, to the Circuit Museum in Stavelot. Visiting the rally with its real old-timers in this winding and hilly region is an unforgettable experience.

In the Circuit museum of Stavelot itself one can go through the early racing days and learn about the remarkable automobile history of the Province of Liege, from the construction of the first car to the development of rare showpieces. For people interested in more recent developments in the automotive industry, there is also an industrial park close to the race circuit, which is entirely devoted to engines. This park is situated close to the Hautes-Fagnes, Belgium’s largest natural reserve.
